I wanted to send a quick note to thank all of you for your amazing support and participation at our events so far this year! I also want to send a big shout out to our Social Committee for an amazing Bingo event and to Mrs. Shin and the DEI Committee for a fun and informative Hispanic Heritage History Month Event--special thanks to our families that brought in samples, they were DELICIOUS!

Our volunteers are busy planning more events already! Please be sure to register for the Trunk or Treat this Friday so that we can get an idea of numbers. This will be a crowded event so please carpool if possible! The Duck Dash is coming up November 10, and the competition is ON to see which grade has the highest participation and which class has highest fundraising!

Spirit Wear

Spirit Wear is in!! Spirit Wear will be sent home with students this wee

PTA Sponsored Trunk or Treat

Please join us this Friday, Oct 27th for our first PTA sponsored Trunk or Treat in the parking lot of MWES! Event will begin at 5:15pm -- please do not arrive early, as our trunk cars will still be working hard to decorate their vehicles! Children will not be allowed to enter before 5:15pm and carpooling is highly encouraged. Costumes are welcome, but not required. Don't forget to bring a bag to collect all of your goodies and treats! Candy donations are still being accepted - please drop them off to the collection bin outside of the front office. Lastly, if you have not yet RSVPed for the event, please do so on the signup genius. DEI Committee

Muchísimas gracias to everyone who contributed tasting portions of Hispanic cuisine, participated in craft making, and joined us in celebrating our 2nd annual MWES Hispanic Heritage Month celebration!! Your support and enthusiasm made the event truly special. Through embracing the spirit of unity and appreciation for Hispanic culture, we took a significant step towards fostering a more inclusive and culturally rich environment within our school community. 

A special thank you goes to our DEI Parent Team, MWES staff, and event volunteers for making the celebration a success!

Duck Dash

We have reached our next fundraising milestone ($15,000!!) and will be celebrating with TWIN (or Multiples) DAY! Find a friend or friends to match with for the day on Friday, 10.27! The theme for our $20,000 milestone is SuperHero Day.

We are so excited to announce that 5th grader Samantha Lee won the Duck Dash t-shirt contest. Samantha's original design will be featured on this year's Duck Dash t-shirt, which all students, teachers, and staff will receive the week of the Duck Dash and are encouraged to wear to school on Friday, November 10th! Congratulations Samantha!! 

Thank you to all of the students who participated in this year's t-shirt design contest! We had so many amazing designs and it was a tough battle to find a winner. We will be working with administration to find a place to showcase all of the amazing submissions before the event.

Restaurant Nights

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first restaurant night last week! We hoped you enjoyed ice cream for dinner! Mark your calendars for our next restaurant night at the Coal Fire Pizza on Monday, November 13th from 11:30AM-9:00PM.

Are you tired of all that new gear ending up in the lost and found?
We are here to help solve that problem! Manor Woods PTA has partnered with Mabel's Labels, the best-known brand of durable labels for families - 20% goes back to the PTA.

Our school is participating in Box Tops, with a fun class competition this Fall! The class with the most Box Tops by December 18, 2023 will win a prize.

Did you know that our school can earn rewards every time you shop at Harris Teeter?!
